A message from one of the finest brains in our world..

OCCUPY TILL I COME: THE MARKET PLACE PERSPECTIVE
“And he called his ten servants and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (Luke 19:13 KJV)
In most personal data forms I have been required to fill, there had always been provisions for my occupation to be filled. Occupation has a lot to do with your economic participation in the ecosystem. It could be said to be your business or trade or career. Therefore, we can rightly conclude from the parable of the ten pounds, that occupation does not only connote occupation of economic space but taking your place and setting the pace in your own area of assignment.
God mandates and expects us to make impact in the market place by occupying profitably in our various areas of business. He does not only dislike idleness, He abhors it. He wants to meet us actively at work upon His return. (Matt.20:6)
God knows that inactivity will affect the micro and macro economy negatively. Hence, His instruction to occupy till He comes. Can you imagine a country of inactive workforce just like ours where our major workforce is mostly redundant, unemployed and worst still, unemployable?
I believe that for God to give that instruction, it means that He has endowed every man with some yet to be discovered gifts, talents or capital to harness and do business. The combined effect of our text, Luke 19:12-26 and Matthew 20, clearly reveals the availability and workability of the four factors of production, i.e. land, labour, capital and entrepreneurship, for man’s maximum economic benefit and impact to his world.
I charge you therefore, discover what God has deposited in you and trade with it for maximum profit and impact.
It is a new day for you!
Remain ever beautified!

A HOLE IN THE FUTURE

The difference between borrowing and investing is this; the former creates debt which I'll call 'a hole in the future' while the latter creates wealth for tomorrow.
Borrowing empty's the future and fills the now while investing empty's the now and fills tomorrow.
Thinks twice! Act wisely!

THE KILLER WORD. 'IF'

Often times failure sets into a man’s life and in that seat of devastation the word ‘if’ becomes a solace for him to hold on to to stay alive. He begins to say words like, if I had known, if they had told me, if my parents this, if my dad that… and all that.

Casting blames becomes his strongest weapon but he fails to realize that it is the strongest weapon against his own self.

Today I am obliged to raise some questions that are failures closest allies to see if we can really get at failure and win it because I strongly believe that bringing down the walls that surrounds Jerico will simply give you victory over Jerico and in this context failure is that Jerico and together we will win!

 The questions…
Do people fail because they don’t know enough? Or
Do they fail because they don’t have enough? Or
Do they fail because they don’t do enough? Or
Do they fail because they don’t ask enough questions? Or what?...

Failure, I would say is a product of not doing the extra, not going the extra mile and maybe all the extras.  The difference they say between ordinary and the extraordinary people is the  word ‘extra’. The extra time, the extra effort, the extra money invested, the extra job, the extra thought and so on.

We must understand this truth that failures fail because they are ever ready to give excuses and so they quit too soon while successful people are afraid to make or give excuses which means, they are afraid to fail. And so they hang on and win!

No one is neither born a failure nor a success. We’re all left to calve our future and decide our destiny. So if you’re determined and not just wishing to be a success you must detest excuses because they simply exclude you from success!

To succeed…
Do the extra, go the extra mile to;
Ask enough, know enough, do enough and don’t forget to fight enough!

THE IDOL CALLED IDEA

Ideas rule the world, they keep our world alive, they worth more than fine gold and crude. Ideas are treasure mines that exists in the human mind. So, why liken such a treasure to an idol? An idea becomes an idol; if it is celebrated forever without it's effect been felt, if it  exists only in the lines of your stories or the pages of your note pad, if it wins only in the fantasy world.
Many failures in record today did not fail because they lacked ideas but because they lacked the will to put their hands to work. They fail to labour to bring their idea(s) into reality rather they sit on the ill-promising bench of procrastination to idolize their beautiful ideas. They only tend to succeed in immortalizing their ideas in their minds and only in their minds.
However, the truth still stands that, ideas rule the worldbut they will be ruined if abandoned.
Work, work and work on your ideas instead of idolizing them, for work has proved to be the ancient  prevailing force that connects fantasy to reality. So work on your ideas and not wreck them, bring them to into reality rather than killing them to eternity. The idea you don't work on  today will mock-hunt you tomorrow. "Ideas are not tools for story telling but a responsibility to pursue".
Please be aware of the truth that you paralyze your ideas when you over analyze and idolize them.
Don't let your zeal grow cold, don't let your will become weak, don't wait till your enthusiasm become extinguished, don't let your idea metamorphose into an idol, begin here and now!
Everything functions based on principles and work is a principle, so work!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR BUSINESS STAND

Business is just been busy without an understanding of what you are doing.
It is the understanding of what your business is that truly makes the difference.
Understanding gives you value, value makes you a brand and being a brand creates a niche for you in the crowded world of business.
It all begins with understanding!
Never jump into any business, rather be patient enough to assimilate its rudiments and wake up to the reality of the possibilities and eventualities that surrounds the business you wish to lead.
If how you run your business is been determined by your understanding then understanding is simply what defines your business. It designs it to either remain under or  transcend to stand.”

KNOW ENOUGH

It is a norm for anyone in Africa to jump into action at the point of getting an idea, whether it is right or wrong, wise or unwise, smart or slothful, this is my own piece of advice.
Never venture into any endeavour be it business, ministry, marriage or whatever  with the “common sense” level of knowledge.
God wants us to know enough that’s why He said “study to show yourself approved unto God…”(2 Tim. 5 vs17). We must keep abreast the fact that the height we get to tomorrow is simply a reflection of the depth of the  knowledge we possess today. The more the depth the higher the flight!
However, it is imperative to know that knowledge is the ‘seed' that God is banking on to prosper us.
In Hosea 4 vs 6, He said “ My people suffer for lack of knowledge”, not lack of money, friends or family but for lack of knowledge which leaves us with the truth that the absence of knowledge is the presence of suffering.
Remember we said initially that knowledge is the seed. Lets stretch it a little; no seed prospers on its own no matter its potency, it requires some other elements especially the rain which in this context is the word of God! God’s word is the rain.* “I will pour my spirit upon you...”
If the rain drops and finds no seed in the earth, it naturally yields nothing but unwanted plants(weed), it is therefore true that any unwanted or detested thing that exits around you is a show of the absence of knowledge(seed)*
Now, if God’s word is the rain and knowledge is the seed then we must agree that wealth, prosperity and success are the fruits. Prosperity is therefore a product of Gods promises and your awareness to His promises.
Common sense will at best deliver common results and common results may bring about insults but make a difference you need and must acquire core-sense (good seed).
Eccl 10 vs 15, the labour of the foolish wearieth everyone of them, because he ‘knoweth’ not how to go to the city. (KJV)
Taking a close look at the highlighted  scripture it is observed that the city was set before him but he lacked the ‘know-how’ to possess it.
Point:
God’s promises are sure but we must grow our minds to possess them.
Go for knowledge for with it you have no-edge, that is no limitation!
